Be Careful of Investment Scams

Just heard in the news that people were scammed by Aman Futures Group Phils. Inc. It's similar to double-your-money scams, but this firm promises a guaranteed 15%-40% return of investment and they issue post-dated checks. Even at the minimum 15%, people who really invests know that this guaranteed interest is huge!

The company has been given a cease and desist order (CDO) last October 8, 2012 by the Securities and Exchange Comission (SEC), but it informed its investors that they were allowed to operate. P244 M were scammed. The money is acquired from ordinary Filipino citizens like you and me (mostly from Visayas and Mindanao), so we should be vigilant about these type of scams. If someone is offering you something that's too good to be true, it probably is.

Arman Futures was headed by Manuel Amalilio. He posted an apology on Youtube:

For the list of companies with CDO from SEC, go to: http://www.sec.gov.ph/notices/cdo.html

15-40% return of investment is more than possible, you just have to be critical where you place your money. It's not something you just give to someone and hope it magically doubles.
